High strength, thin glass
Glass strengthened at the surface by ion exchange. Suitable for thin, lightweight and optically demanding marine applications where high bending strength and custom geometry are important.
Typical applications Yacht glazing, instrument panels, curved or thin panes, interior glass components and special safety applications.
Key properties High surface compression, excellent optical quality and suitable for thin glass build-ups.
Combinations Can be laminated with PVB, EVA or SGP depending on the required residual strength and safety performance.

Dimmable Glass
Stepwise or gradual tinting
Dimmable glass can be adjusted gradually or stepwise from transparent to dark tinted glass, such as black, grey or white. It provides control over solar gain, privacy, comfort and appearance.
- Typical applications Skylights, rooflights, bathroom walls, gym walls, spa zones, privacy spaces, panoramic glazing and luxury yacht interiors.
- Operation Electrically adjustable from transparent to dark or privacy mode. Depending on the system, stepwise or gradual dimming up to approximately 98% darkening/tinting is possible.
- Colours / modes Possible tints include black, grey or white, depending on the selected technology and supplier.

Heat Strengthened Glass
Stable breakage, higher strength
Heat strengthened glass has higher strength than float glass, but breaks into larger fragments than fully toughened glass. It is often selected for laminated constructions where residual stability is important.

- Key properties Positioned between float glass and fully toughened glass; favourable breakage behaviour in laminates.

Thermal comfort
Double or multi-pane insulating glass for thermal insulation, acoustics and comfort on board. Can be combined with coatings, heating and laminated glass.

Multiple glass plies bonded with one or more interlayers. Designed for safety, residual stability, impact resistance, acoustic comfort and structural performance.

- Interlayers PVB for standard safety/acoustics, SGP for high stiffness and residual strength, EVA for specific applications.

Switchable Glass
Transparent or milky white
Switchable glass electrically switches between transparent and milky white/privacy. Ideal for spaces where visibility, daylight and privacy need to be flexibly combined.
- Typical applications Skylights, bathroom walls, gym walls, spa zones, privacy panels, interior partitions and luxury superyacht interiors.
- Operation By means of an on/off switch, the glass changes from transparent to milky white/privacy. In the off state it is usually opaque/milky white; in the on state it is transparent.
- Build-up Usually laminated glass with PDLC switchable film between glass plies; can be combined with clear, extra-clear, tinted or insulating glass.

Thermally Toughened Glass
Safety glass
Thermally toughened safety glass with increased bending strength and a small-particle fracture pattern. Widely used in marine windows, doors and laminated glass constructions.

- Key properties Higher bending strength than float glass, improved thermal shock resistance and safety-glass behaviour.
